Inspiration & Innovation
Audrey’s passion for beach glass collecting started as a 5-year-old child. As her collection grew so did her curiosity. Where? ...What? ...When? ... Why? ... each shiny little piece was a treasure filled with so much mystery.
As a wife and mother, trips to the beach became a family adventure to accumulate treasures for the ever-growing collection. By 1998, her estimated million pieces had created a storage issue that caused her husband Mark to relay an ultimatum:
“Either do something with them or get rid of them.”
This comment forced some quick thinking, thus a craft was born. Having no formal training but a clear vision of the style she wanted to achieve, Audrey began manipulating wire and learning from trial and error to develop a unique technique.

The gems of the sea that intrigued her imagination were now being transformed into wearable art. With the growth of their small in-house business came a new set of ideas and dreams.

The concept for the construction of a lighthouse in this location was met with a lot of skepticism. In spite of this, Mark and Audrey, after numerous discussions, decided they did not want to look back and wonder if it would have worked.
Here you stand today in what was not so long ago, nothing but a crazy dream.
